Corey Heim had a near-perfect race on Saturday at Lime Rock Park, winning the inaugural NASCAR Truck race by starting from pole, setting the fastest lap, winning both stages, and leading 99 of 100 laps. He now has 16 career wins in the Truck Series, ranking tenth on the all-time wins list. Heim expressed his satisfaction, calling the race “nothing short of incredible” and praising his team’s flawless performance.
The podium was completed by Ty Majeski in second place and Gio Ruggiero in third, followed by Ben Rhodes and Cam Waters in the top five. The final stage saw some drama with a truck leaking fluid causing a brief red flag, but Heim maintained control throughout.
Despite a restart mishap and a late-race yellow flag, Heim navigated the chaos unscathed, securing his victory. Spencer Boyd’s early incident aside, the race was remarkably clean, with Heim dominating each stage. His consistent performance made passing difficult for competitors on the small road course at Lime Rock Park.
